In the gloomy desert of my youth,
I spent my precious time looked in my room.
Everything was so cold, so bleak, so dark.
I didn’t know my stuff, I had enough.

And so I used to be a liar to myself.
I did a lot of things as if I was someone else.
I blackened dozen of pages with stupid rhymes it’s true..
I was blind in those times, I couldn’t see the truth?

I'd never thought I would wake up one day with all my dreams drained out from the back of my head.
So tonight let’s face it: I’m not solid, oh no I’m not so solid, though I admit I tried. Believe me I tried, yeah I really tried.

In the wan light of my teenage room,
I cursed the sky for making me so loose.
I thought the world was waiting at my door.
I thought I’d be the one, I thought I’d be adored.

But nothing ever happened and I swallowed my pride.
I’m just a common man who sadly missed his time.
But I’m okay with that in a certain point of view.
My ordinary life is great when I’m with you.
